Goleta and Surrounding Areas

Goleta North is a nicely established residential area of tract homes. Many of the engineers and employees of the aerospace companies live in this area. Above Cathedral Oaks Road you move into an area of rolling hills and views of the ocean and mountains. There are also some fine residences and citrus and avocado ranches. Nearby, Isla Vista is home to the UCSB campus.   Goleta South is also an area of nice tract homes moderately priced. There is an abundance of condominiums and housing developments offering a variety of affordable living.

Area history is on display at Goleta's South Coast Railway Museum, which also offers miniature train rides.

San Marcos Pass is only 15 minutes up highway 154 from town, yet located away from the hustle and bustle. This small community offers views, seclusion, and a chance for a rural lifestyle. Second homes in this area, on National Forest leased land, can also be purchased.
